We Are Thomasse
We Are Thomasse (rhymes with “sassy”), is an NYC based sketch team made up of married couple Nick Afka Thomas (the Brit) and Sarah Ann Masse (the American). They have been compared to Monty Python on the one hand, Nichols & May on the other, and Key & Peele on that always useful third hand. They combine the best of British and American awesomeness by presenting witty, fast- paced, character-driven sketches that are modern but with a classy, classic twist.
We Are Thomasse: As American As Fish ‘n’ Chips, features a dizzyingly funny and fresh series of sketches full of sharp wit and expert costume changes, covering everything from empathetic muggers to the Proper Way to Have Sex.
“We Are Thomasse delivers a rapid fire series of characters and scenarios that keep you laughing and engaged from beginning to end.” -Brendan McMorrow, Producer at Above Average.
“We Are Thomasse is a funny, smart, and well-paced show. Sarah and Nick are efficient writers and actors: the sketches are tightly scripted, every line is meaningful, and no time is wasted. They keep things grounded while being silly – or keep things silly while being grounded? Either way, the show was a breath of fresh air in the world of sketch comedy. Keep your eyes on these two. And on a nerdy note, if you’re learning how to write sketch, the show has great examples of efficiency, clarity, and game – so go see it next time.” -Ari Scott, Writer/Performer/Director, UCB
